Derek Carr is part of the ministry team at Brave Church. He began living a life in search of a higher power. After receiving a letter from his future wife Heather telling him you’re not the man I thought you were, Carr reformed his ways. The people he interacts with sometimes “aren’t even Raiders fans” or don’t know who he is. Derek Carr is a devout Christian who reportedly became serious about religion after being a major party animal at college. In fact, Carr says he often has opportunities to preach the gospel off the field, including once at a Chipotle restaurant in San Francisco.
